Morgan goes Vinyl
William Michael Morgan will release his debut album, "Vinyl, on Sept. 30 on Warner. Produced by Scott Hendricks and Jimmy Ritchey, who also worked on Morgan's EP out earlier this year, the album will feature his Top 20 single "I Met a Girl."
Nashville Songwriters Hall announces new inductees
Townes Van Zandt, Bob Morrison, Aaron Barker and Beth Nielsen Chapman will be inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in October, it was announced today.
The four will join the 199 existing members of the organization when they are officially inducted during the 46th Anniversary Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame Gala on Oct. 9.
Yoakam goes bluegrass
Dwight Yoakam is going bluegrass. He will put out "Swimmin' Pools, Movie Stars" on Sept. 23 on Sugar Hill Records after being with Warner. Yoakam assembled a band of bluegrass musicians to reinterpret 11 favorites from his catalogue. The list of songs was not released.
