Rain chances mean a move indoors
With a strong chance of cold and rainy weather on Saturday April 13, the Island Park Productions Inc. Board has decided to move the John McCutcheon concert from Island Park to the Burford Theater in Arkansas City.
“While we were looking forward to our first concert in Island Park, we are more focused on making sure attendees are comfortable to enjoy John’s performance,” says Jill Long, Island Park Productions Chair. “We have been thrilled with the hospitality shown us by Shannon Martin of the Burford Theater, and look forward to a wonderful concert there on Saturday!”
Doors will open at 5:00 p.m., the concert will begin at 6:00 p.m. Admission is free, but seating is limited to 650 patrons. Guests are encouraged to arrive early to line up for entry. The Burford Theater will have light concessions available for purchase, as well as a cash bar for alcoholic beverages. Coolers or outside alcoholic beverages will not be permitted.
The John McCutcheon concert is the first in the Duck Jam in the Park concert series organized by Island Park Productions. Following concerts are: Randall King with opener Jake Worthington on May 30, Mudbugs Cajun and Zydeco Band on June 13, and Opal Agafia and the Sweet Nothings on July 18. All concerts are free and are made possible by generous community sponsorships and donations.
