Take classes at Cowley College with the Community Appreciation Tuition Scholarship - known as CATS.
No scholarship application is required and no other requirements need to be met other than residency. High School Accelerate, Educator Appreciation and active military rates will be honored in place of the CATS assistance for qualifying classes with spring session (four-week) classes beginning May 4. Student fees still apply.
“The focus of this free tuition initiative is to assist those citizens in Cowley and Sumner Counties as these citizens provide critical fiscal support to the success of our College and Tiger Nation,” Cowley College president Dr. Dennis C. Rittle said. “We know our neighbors in Cowley and Sumner Counties have suffered due to COVID-19. We want to be a blessing.”
Courses offered are: Agriculture Orientation, Animal Health, Medical Terminology, Basic First Aid, Pharmacology, Personal Health & Community Hygiene, Art Appreciation, Biology Review, Environmental Biology, Computer Applications, Elementary Algebra, Principles of Microeconomics, Principles of Geography, Principles of Nutrition, United States History Since 1865, Lifetime Fitness, Print Reading, OSHA 10, Introduction to Leadership, Intermediate Algebra, College Algebra, Workplace Ethics, and Music Appreciation.
